RHS Erigeron Profusion Seeds 250 Seeds, Hardy Perennial Fleabane Daisy
RHS Erigeron Profusion Seeds by Mr Fothergill’s produce masses of small daisy like flowers with golden yellow centres, opening white and gently maturing to soft pink tones. This long flowering hardy perennial forms a low, spreading carpet that brings movement and lightness to the front of sunny borders.
Growing to approximately 25cm in height with an impressive spread of up to 1m, Erigeron karvinskianus is perfect for edging paths, softening paving and spilling beautifully over walls. It flowers generously from June through to October, creating a naturalistic, cottage garden feel.
This variety holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit for reliability and garden performance. It is also recognised as Perfect for Pollinators, helping to support bees and beneficial insects throughout the summer months. The seed range is produced by Mr Fothergill’s in partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society.
Erigeron Profusion thrives in full sun and well drained soil. Once established it is drought tolerant and remarkably resilient. It can even be grown in gaps between paving or stonework, making it ideal for relaxed planting schemes and informal garden styles.
For indoor sowing, sow from February to April in trays of moist seed compost. Sow thinly and cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist at approximately 15 to 20C. Seedlings appear in 14 to 28 days. When large enough to handle, transplant into individual 7.5cm pots. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions in late May, avoiding frosts. Transplant 30cm apart in flowering position.
Plants flower from June to October, often in the same year from early sowings.
